The Package

The package is in a cardboard box with fragile tape around it.  It's filled with bubble-wrap and packaging.  Open it carefully form one side and you can reuse the box to post it on.

The package contains ...
- A 50mm lens
- A EOS -> M42 adapter
- A Nikon F -> M42 adapter

Make sure you receive all three items and remember to post them on to the next person.

Project Requirements

I will need three things from you to complete your part in the project.

- A photo of yourself with the lens in a scenic location that represents and gives a good feel for where you are in the world.  Obviously you cannot use the same lens to take the photograph :) so use any camera or lens for this purpose.  Please make sure this photograph is in landscape orientation, and the aspect ratio is 4:3.  You will need to sign a release form, to agree to have your photo printed in the book.  If you are over 18 years of age, please use this form ..... Adult Release Form.  If you are under 18 years of age please use this form ..... Minor Release Form.  Please make sure there is only you in the photograph, and that there are no brand names visible (like a can or coca cola).

- A photograph taken with the lens provided.  You can take a photo of anything, if you are not happy with the photo, it's better to hold onto the lens a little longer and make sure you take one you are happy with.  Some people may have to wait for the right weather, or conditions and it can take longer, but please try and be as snappy as possible as the next person will be waiting, and we have 50 to get around.  If your photograph is of a person, or of multiple people, anybody in the image that is recognisable will also need to complete either an Adult or Minor release form, depending on their age.  for example, if there is a crowd of people in your image, like at a sports stadium, it is unlikely anybody will be recognisable, but if you photo is a portrait of one person, they are recognisable so will need to fill out a release form.

- A short paragraph about yourself, and a short paragraph about the photograph.

When you have completed these three things, please email them to me in full resolution at crgtlr@gmail.com.  If you have a flickr account or a picasa account or something similar, you can upload the images and then email me the links, but please keep the photo private.  i will reply and tell your where to send the package to next.  (I will probably be emailing you quite a bit around this time).

Postage

The package when packed will weigh 0.391 kilos, hopefully you can work the postage costs out.

Remove any barcodes or shipping labels that might prevent it from being posted to the next destination.
Please ensure the package is taped back up well enough for it to take a few bumps in transit.

Print out the next persons address in block capitals, or write the address very clearly with a fat marker.  Cover the address with sticky tape or some plastic wrapping to ensure the address does not wash off in the rain.

When posting to the next person please use a method of post that gives a tracking number.  also if possible, pick the fastest option.  Some of the slower worldwide postage options take 30 days or more.  If everybody did that, the lens would be travelling for over 5 years.  I just posted the package to New Zealand, it should take 5 days to arrive, I have a tracking number and it cost me £9.  It was a good test as New Zealand is about as far from the UK as possible.
